Remember when the Jeep Wrangler had a three-speed automatic? That wasn't that long ago – as recent as the 2007 redesign – but Chrysler is keen to leave those days behind on the dusty trail. The current model ushered in a four-speed, then a five-speed, but the latest intel indicates that an eight-speed automatic is in the cards.

According to a report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and cited by Automotive News, Jeep plans on fitting its eight-speed automatic transmission to the next-generation Wrangler. Chrysler already uses the ZF-sourced slushbox on the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ram 1500, Chrysler 300…

Premier Jeep Renegade Caters to the Landscape with Selec-Terrain® System

We're trying to play cool here at Upstate Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Inc., but we're completely smitten by the upcoming 2015 Jeep Renegade.  This subcompact SUV is everything we've ever wanted in a weekend adventurer -- and everything we didn't even know we wanted. Renewed Ram comparisons

With both Chevrolet Colorado and Ford F-150 boasting of their fuel economy— the latter without actually releasing it yet — Ram has done the footwork to provide comparisons of their mileage versus every competitor.

Ram 1500 aerodynamics

Of note, the Ram 1500 V6 is no longer the most efficient full-sized gasoline-powered pickup, though it is tied for best with the Chevrolet Silverado. The Ram 1500 diesel does retain the title of most efficient full or midsized pickup, arguably, with Tacoma coming in at the same rounded combined mileage (1 mpg better city, 3 mpg worse highway). Tacoma is smaller, and comes with a four…

Competition Fierce Between Dodge Brothers and Their Cars

We might think of competition as something that happens between two opposing people or companies. Recently, the Dodge company showed us that isn't always the case.

The recent line of commercials offer a bit of history into the Dodge legacy, and the brothers who created it. The video below is the commercial the company released in which the brothers compete against one another in the ever evolving Charger and Challenger.

Jeep-GC-TTR-Ranch-Web
The Texas Auto Writers Association’s (TAWA) 2014 Texas Truck Rodeo has ended and the votes have been cast. While Ford, as expected, was named Truck of Texas and Truck Line of Texas and Lincoln came in with CUV of Texas, the Jeep Grand Cherokee was named SUV of Texas for a record fifth consecutive time. Actually, the Grand Cherokee set the record a couple of years ago with its third win; it’s now just padding its lead over everything else.

“Once again the Chrysler Group brought an extraordinary product lineup to the Texas Truck Rodeo,” said Michael Marrs…
