The 2015 ProMaster City™ is Ram’s all-new entry into the red-hot small-commercial-van market and it’s designed to meet or beat the competition in the categories that count.

Proven platform with award-winning quality and durability

It’s based on the successful FIAT Doblo, a proven platform whose quality and reliability has helped it become a two-time winner of the International Van of the Year Award.

Modified and re-engineered for North America, ProMaster City is available in two configurations – a five-seat passenger wagon and two-seat cargo van.

When compared to the competition, ProMaster City comes out ahead of Ford Transit Connect, Nissan NV200 and Chevrolet City Express by any measure.

Many best-in-class cargo, payload and towing capabilities

The proof lies in the numbers, starting with ProMaster City’s big 60/40 split rear doors. When fully open, the doors provide easy access to the cavernous cargo area via 49 inches of height and 48 inches of width.

The load floor height of 21.5 inches is more than two inches lower than that of the Ford Transit Connect for easier access.

Inside, ProMaster City boasts a best-in-class width between the wheel wells of 48.4 inches. The maximum cargo area width of 60.4 inches from side panel to side panel is also among the widest in its class. The maximum cargo area length is 87.2 inches and the maximum height is 51.8 inches.

All of those generous dimensions add up to a best-in-class cargo capacity of 131.7 cubic feet – a huge ProMaster City advantage since cargo capacity is a top priority for commercial van customers.

And the competitive advantages keep coming.

The ProMaster City cargo van also boasts a best-in-class payload capacity of 1,883 pounds. That’s over 15 percent more payload than the Ford Transit Connect Long Wheel Base can carry and 20 percent more payload than the Nissan or Chevy entries.

ProMaster City can pull its own weight when it comes to towing, too, with an unsurpassed towing capacity of 2,000 pounds when properly equipped. That matches Ford Transit Connect and blows away the Nissan and Chevy entries, neither of which are rated for towing at all.

Further proof of ProMaster City’s dominance is its best-in-class Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 5,395 pounds. Whether hauling cargo, towing a trailer or doing both at the same time, no competitor can beat ProMaster City’s capabilities.

Best-in-class standard horsepower and torque

When it comes to getting down the road, ProMaster City powers past the crowd with best-in-class standard output from its base 2.4-liter I-4 engine of 178 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. That edges out Ford Transit Connect’s standard engine output of 169 hp/171 ft-lb of torque and crushes the Nissan and Chevy vans’ paltry 131 hp/139 lb-ft of torque.

ProMaster City also offers a standard, class-exclusive 9-speed automatic transmission for nimble acceleration, smooth shifting and efficient operation.

Unsurpassed highway fuel economy

ProMaster City’s standard powertrain delivers unsurpassed highway fuel economy of 29 mpg, which is rather remarkable considering the vehicle’s best-in-class cargo capacity, payload, horsepower and torque.

The small commercial van with big advantages

That’s a quick look at just some of the ways ProMaster City is best-in-class and unsurpassed. And the numbers don’t lie -- it offers the capability and efficiency that commercial customers want in their work vehicles. It’s the small commercial van with big advantages, so get ready to reap big rewards with the new 2015 Ram Promaster City.
