With 43.2% growth in the first half of 2014, Jeep brand growth led all major brands in the NAFTA region (U.S., Canada and Mexico). Ram was the second-fastest-growing brand, up 18.8% compared to the January-June period of 2013. Fiat brand was third.
The other Chrysler Group brands were at the other end of the chart. With a deficit of 14.8%, Chrysler brand posted the worst showing while Dodge was ahead of only Chrysler and Volkswagen.
Chrysler’s best-sellers across the NAFTA region are the Ram pickup, Dodge Grand Caravan, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Cherokee.
To keep things manageable, only major brands sold in all three markets are included. Brands like Kia, Lexus and Scion are not sold in Mexico while Renault, Peugeot and SEAT are not sold in the U.S. or Canada.
