Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne has been named Automotive News’ “Industry Leader of the Year” and “CEO of the Year for North America.”
The announcement appears in today’s print edition of Automotive News. AN reporter Larry Vellequette did the write-up, detailing some of Marchionne’s achievements since he took on the nearly defunct Chrysler LLC in 2009.
Vellequette sums up his report by saying, “You don’t have to look far to find the Industry Leader of the Year for 2014. It’s Sergio Marchionne, the chain-smoking, expresso-gulping, midnight-oil-burning, Italian-Canadian lawyer who continues to work miracles at Chrysler.”
