The 2018 Dodge Durango SRT Wins the Rocky Mountain "Crossover of the Year" Award

There are a lot of good reasons to invest in an SUV. One of the biggest? The extra ability they offer. Take the 2018 Dodge Durango. On top of delivering a spacious and well-equipped interior, its SRT trim offers a standard of high performance that stands a cut above many of its competitors.

Its versatile performance is what inspired the Rocky Mountain Auto to name the Durango SRT its "2018 Crossover of the Year." Speaking about the Durango, RMAP president David Muramoto praised it for its ability to adapt to and handle the diverse conditions of the Rocky Mountains.

"The 2018 Dodge Durango SRT made a great impression in its first RMAP event by how well-integrated this high-performance vehicle is for the Rocky Mountain region," said Muramoto, in a statement. “From clean, functional styling to how well the powerful drivetrain and electronic systems work together, the Dodge//SRT team did fine work in impressing RMAP voters."

With seating options for up to seven, the Durango SRT comes equipped with a HEMI V8 engine that's been rated for 475 horsepower and 470 pounds-feet of torque. Sturdy enough for tough conditions and off-roading, it can also tow up to 8,700 pounds.
